The Singapore Jewellery Brands For DIY Charm Bracelets

Sometimes the straightforward card and flowers isn’t enough for Valentine’s Day. In cases like this, sentimentality is your best bet, and what better way to express it than with a do-it-yourself (DIY) gift. If you’d rather not rely on your creativity though, worry not. These DIY jewellery stores will provide the perfect personal gift that will impress even the most fashionable Valentine. Scroll on for four of the most stylish DIY jewellery stores for the best Valentine’s Day gift and date activity.

ECHO VINTAGE

Perfect for: The trinket and bag charm-loving fashionista.

What: If you’re into vintage shopping, Echo Vintage is probably already on your radar. Founded by 45-year-old Echo (she goes by one name), as of June 2024, the store offers a new way to experience vintage jewellery: DIY charm bracelets and necklaces. During the hour-and-a-half-long workshop, customers are involved in the entire assemblage process. With an array of vintage charms sourced from the UK and quality gold- and silver-plated charms (albeit non-vintage due to limited stocks), you’ll create a sophisticated and elegant piece of jewellery.

Each set will include a chain (that can be cut to your desired length) and three charms, minimally ($69). For the maximalists out there, additional charms can be added, of course; an additional charm will set you back $15, while three additional charms will cost $13 each.

The jewellery: A statement chain, riddled with as many (or as few) charms as you like. From quirky and colourful charms to gold ornamental charms with a vintage feel, each piece is beautifully curated to capture your Valentine’s unique essence. You get full control—the whole piece is completely customisable: from the type of chains chosen to its length and even how it will be worn. Some customers have made anklets, bag chains, and AirPods chains

THE ASSEMBLY SPACE

What started as a hobby eventually transformed into founder Cheryl’s full-time job. Offering both handmade jewellery as well as jewellery making workshops, the Assembly Space is a haven for arts and crafts lovers. “There’s something quietly transformative about working with my hands— shaping, creating, and letting my mind drift to a place of calm,” she says.

Perfect for: The Valentine who loves activity-based dates.

What: For the Valentine who loves both designing and making their jewellery, The Assembly Space is the perfect spot. Founded in 2021 by Cheryl (who’s all about that mononymous life), the studio began as her creative escape from teaching. “In those small, unhurried moments of making jewellery, I found a rare sense of stillness—a kind of magic I wanted to share,” she recalls.

Four years on, The Assembly Space has expanded beyond polymer clay to include beads, pearls, and more. Now Cheryl’s full-time venture, it offers a range of workshops, from charm necklace and bracelet customisation ($38 for one hour) to polymer clay sessions ($150 for three and a half hours), catering to all skill levels.

Each session provides attendees with high-quality materials and tools. With 14 and 18 carat gold-plated chains, and resin pearls, lockets and charms sourced both locally and from the States, each piece is like a high-quality well-designed art project. For those who’d rather not rely on their craftsmanship (or perhaps lack of it), ready-made pieces (like polymer clay earrings) are also available for purchase ($68).

The jewellery: Intricate statement pieces that are a flex to wear. From floral-themed polymer clay earrings you can mould yourself to functional locket pendants set with flowers and jewels of your choice, each piece blends elegance with craftsmanship. While workshops are The Assembly Space’s main draw, you can also purchase Cheryl’s handmade sets or have her expertly assemble a piece for you.

ELIO

Elio is a budding DIY jewellery business that’s steadily gaining traction (see: their TikTok video that has amassed more than 85 thousand views). Run by sisters 28 year-old Von and 24 year-old Fon, Von helms most of the store’s operations while she takes a break between full-time corporate jobs, while Fon attends the Singapore University of Social Sciences as a Supply Chain Management major.

Perfect for: The chronically online, trendy and stylish Valentine.

What: Tucked in a cosy spot in Far East Plaza, Elio is a DIY bracelet store where anyone can craft personalised Italian charm bracelets (a.k.a. Nomination bracelets). These bracelets feature flat charms with soldered designs, linked to form a band that can be unclasped and rearranged to your heart’s content—basically, Gen Z’s take on Pandora charm bracelets.

Elio was born when sisters Von (28) and Fon (24)—both embracing the mononymous life—wanted to make their own Italian charm bracelets after seeing them on social media. Struggling to find quality materials and cute designs, they realised the process should be more accessible. After a few DIY attempts (and a late-night epiphany), they launched Elio in December 2024.

What speaks to your Valentine? Are they an animal lover? A foodie? An astrology girlie? From Studio Ghibli-themed charms to single-letter initial charms, there’s a wide selection to choose from.

The jewellery: Elio’s bracelet is perfect for the fashion-forward Valentine. With silver and gold charms ($1–$8 for silver, $1.50–$4.50 for gold), they can quite literally wear their heart—and interests—on their sleeve. Beyond themed charms like Studio Ghibli, cats, and food, Elio offers over 100 heart and love-themed options to mark the occasion.

Each purchase before 16 February comes with Valentine’s Day packaging and a heart-shaped card. The best part? The charms can be swapped endlessly, making it a stylish, ever-evolving accessory—and the perfect gift for future birthdays, holidays, and milestones.

CHARM CHUCKLE

Charm Chuckle is reportedly Singapore’s first silver clay jewellery making workshop. While the material isn’t necessarily new (it was invented in the 1990s in Japan), Charm Chuckle is said to be the first of its kind in Singapore. For founder Joanna Goh, Charm Chuckle is her personal passion project that she runs along with her advertising company. It’s a place that “sparks joy, fuels my creativity, and lets me share that happiness with others,” she says.

Perfect for: The hopeless romantic with a knack for arts and crafts.

What: Silver clay is essentially mouldable silver—made of silver particles, a binder, and water, which turns into solid silver when fired (the binder burns away). If that sounds like something your Valentine would love, Charm Chuckle is the place to be.

Founder Joanna Goh, 36, fell in love with silver clay at a workshop in South Korea. “Transforming it into jewellery felt like pure magic,” she recalls. After eight months of testing and learning, she launched Singapore’s first silver clay jewellery workshop in June 2024.

While Goh offers custom pieces, Charm Chuckle’s main draw is its hands-on workshops, where up to eight attendees can craft their own silver ring or pendant, complete with coloured gems.

Each class is three and a half hours long and is $80 per person. Between the silver clay, tools, and access to unlimited gems (all of which, were sourced from China, Japan, India, Malaysia and Thailand), and the adorable handmade accessory- why not indulge in a fun experience?

The jewellery: Chunky jewellery that’s truly made from the heart. From moulding, to choosing and setting the gems, and firing the jewellery in the kiln, attendees are personally involved in each step of the process. The end piece is one that’s specifically crafted to capture its wearer’s style and uniqueness- exactly the kind of ‘sentimental’ a DIY Valentine’s Day gift calls for.

Where: Near Aljunied Station. For crowd management, only those who have registered for the workshops will be informed of the full address.
