New Mosaic Boutique Offers DIY Jewelry, Candle-Making Space

FAIRFAX, VA — District Candle Lab and Fawne offer guests a DIY experience, working with “Candle-Tenders” and “Charm Baristas” to create custom scented candles and unique charm jewelry.

The two locally owned brands debuted in DC’s Union Market District in June 2024 and will be celebrating the grand opening of their shared space in the Mosaic District on May 3, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During the grand opening event, District Candle Lab and Fawne will offer giveaways and discounted prices for guests.

  • Free swag bags for the first 50 guests
  • Special one-day pricing on candles and jewelry
  • Giveaway: Enter to win a $250 experience for two
  • Community Give Back: 10 percent of all charm and candle sales, and 20 percent of all gift card sales on May 3 will benefit Northern Virginia Family Services, supporting their efforts to lift Northern Virginia families from poverty.

“The popularity of these concepts has been beyond what we had dreamed of, and the idea we would have two shops in less than a year was unimaginable,” said co-owner Ferzan Jaeger. “Now we are thinking bigger, and we’re building plans for many more locations in and beyond our region.”

Jaeger, a former NASA executive turned entrepreneur, is also the founder of Olive & Loom in Kensington, Maryland, and Kin & Care, an online mission-driven candle brand that employs refugee women.

She teamed up with co-owner Audry Woods to create Fawne, a playful charm jewelry experience that perfectly complements the interactive candle-making concept.

District Candle Lab and Fawne’s news Mosaic storefront is located at 2910 District Ave., Unit 130, in Fairfax.
